Please select a podcast below that sounds interesting. Then pick up the colored paper in the back of the room + a lined paper. Enjoy!
If you are on this website, that means you completed FOUR assignments for the “Comparing two nonfiction texts” standard. That is a lot of work–well done! You now get to enjoy another podcast, which can be found here. Please answer questions from the bright green paper on a lined piece of paper.
When you are done with BOTH assignments and the level 4 (optional) get a green paper & lined paper from the back of the room & headphones from the front. Then, click here to listen to a podcast (look for the button that says “listen now”) and use it to complete the green paper (answer on lined paper).
If you finish with EVERYTHING you may free read or free rice. 🙂
For today’s BOE, you will choose ONE topic and read TWO articles that discuss that idea/event.
Then, fill out your assessment, which allows you to analyze & compare the two nonfiction texts.
LEVEL 4 (optional): Look at the article you didn’t choose in question 5. Suppose you are the editor for this article. What recommendations would you make to the author to improve the readers’ understanding of the topic? Give three recommendations, including specific reasons for each, that explain how these improvements would help the reader understand the topic more clearly. If these improvements were made, would this change your answer to question 5? Justify your answer. (complete on lined paper)
